Glossar

  • Unter Selektion im biologischen Sinn versteht man die Auslese von Organismen aufgrund ihrer Merkmale. Dies kann einerseits durch natürliche Selektionsmechanismen ("survival of the fittest") im Zuge der Evolution geschehen. Unter künstlicher Selektion versteht man andererseits die Auslese von Organismen durch den Menschen, z.B. in der Zucht. Auch in der Gentechnik wird künstliche Selektion angewandt, um einen gentechnisch veränderten Organismus anhand neu eingebrachter Eigenschaften (z. B. Antibiotikaresistenz) zu identifizieren.

The Smart Matchmaking Event for the Green Industry

Get partners. Get funding. Find investors. The Green Innovation and Investment Forum (GIIF) is the pan-european matchmaking event on green economy, innovative technologies, process engineering as well as forward-looking green solutions.
You can apply for one of the 20 coveted spots.

Be prepared for two intense days. Day one, the 20 handpicked international start-ups receive an in-depth coaching on business, financial, IPR collecting feedback from experts. The session called “green check your idea” gives feedback if the presented idea follows the main principles of eco-innovation and how it might impact the environment. The GIIF Team will do a pre-matchmaking for potential business partners and corporates and invite them to day two, the Pitching Event. Get in front of the audience and pitch for funding and partners. Expect some great keynote and inspirational speakers to round up an exciting day. The best “Green Tech Idea” will be awarded as well as one start-up gets selected for additional training.
