Glossary

  • Competence in a biological relation means a stage of the life cycle in a bacterium allowing it to internalise DNA from the outside.
  • Lignocellulose forms the scaffold of the cell wall of plants. It consists of a combination of lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose

Within the first funding period (2014/2015 - 2017/2018) of the Bioeconomy Research Program Baden-Württemberg, 53 projects have been supported at 14 research institutions. In October 2018, the second funding period of the Research Program started.

The 4th Status Seminar of Bioeconomy Research Baden-Württemberg will take place 8th of January 2019 at the University of Hohenheim. The program will include the presentation of results from the first funding period as well as an an outlook on the planned activities in the second funding period and in the Research- and Education Cluster Bioeconomy Baden-Württemberg.

Scientists from the partner institutions as well as stakeholders interested in the bioeconomy network are invited to participate in the event.

Please note that the language of the event will be German.
