International Biogas Operating and Engineering Course

Glossary

  • Biogas is a combustible mixture of gases which is produced by anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable materials such as manure, sewage or organic waste. Thereby, the organic material is converted mainly into methane and carbon dioxide by different microorganisms.
  • Aerobic means "containing molecular oxygen".
  • Anaerobic means "not requiring air".

This 5-day intensive biogas training is designed to provide plant operators, decision makers and investors with profound specific operating and engineering knowledge. The course will be conducted in English.

IBBK is organizing highly successful in-depth biogas and anaerobic digestion training courses in Germany for many years. The training course will enhance your knowledge on anaerobic digestion and the sustainability/efficiency of biogas plants.

The focus of this training course is to combine practical experience with theoretical and scientific knowledge. IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas and the University of Hohenheim are the organisers and conductors of this thorough training course. This ensures that participants have the opportunity to get in touch with the senior experts of the German Biogas Industry and benefit from their substantial long term practical and theoretical experience.
